Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Cascade CrossFit is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit classes. These are our Fundamentals classes. These classes are for first-timers or for people who want to revisit form and technique if you have been away from CrossFit for a while. The classes are designed as a slow introduction to CrossFit.
Our Fundamentals program includes three private training classes. We believe offering our fundamentals as private training, helps us to better individualize the class and, in turn, helps you become more proficient in the movements. This also makes scheduling easy as we can schedule around your schedule. Just sign up below and then email us including times you are available, and we will get you scheduled!
Regardless, if you have done CrossFit before, it is important to slowly introduce your body to the different style so you don’t walk away struggling to walk! As you work through the three consecutive classes you will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. Fundamentals is the perfect place to ask questions and meet some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes.
A typical Fundamentals Class will look as follows
- 5-10 minutes of warm up and discussion
- 30-45 minutes of movement instruction
- 5-10 minute workout
